The recent happenings across the country have brought the cause of women issues under spotlight. Some prefer talking about it, others remain silent spectators and there are some who take a strong stand in their capability to support these issues.
Manish Goel who has been part of shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Bhabhi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and many more recently produced a short film, ‘WE’- Voice Of, By And For The Women. As many would know the actor owns a company, Dream Big Make Big Entertainment, and this hard hitting and heart touching film is the productions’ first venture into producing films.
Shares the man himself talking about the video, “This young bunch of kids had approached me to help them in their projects. Though initially things did not work, when they came with this concept, I was all raring to go. The video is raw as it’s made by really young people but the feel and the intention is strong and that got me impressed. I would not like to talk much about it as I would want people to actually see the video and give me their honest feedback. And yes, the film is of, by and for the woman.”
When asked of his contribution to the film, the actor smiled, “To be honest, there hasn’t been much. All that I contributed was the title of the film. I had registered ‘WE’ which stands for Women Empowerment, for another event. But as it did not work out, I thought of using it for this film. Now we will use this wonderful video as our official AV for the event.”
When asked on his plans to make more films, Manish shared, “Well there are a couple of short films in hands, and we will surely announce them soon. For now I would want all of you to have a look at our attempt and ponder on the cause of woman issues. I am a hardcore feminist and I think it’s high time that we all do our bit to make woman get their rights.”
Thanking his team, the actor averred, “Ashit Sharma, Udit Khurana, Yash Sacheti and Raghav Upadhyay, Malavika Goyal, Sonakshi Sharma, Sanjana Khanna, Dhwani Bhardwaj, Aarti Upadhyay Gaurika Kanika Sharma, Kareena Sacheti and Tanish Sharma, you all have done a great job!”
