Exclusive: Cast of Sony TV's Hanuman revealed

Sony Entertainment Television is all set to bring its first mythological drama show Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman. The daily produced by Contiloe will portray the tale of Lord Hanuman and his life.

As viewers would know, Nirbhay Wadhwa (Mahabharat and Maharana Pratap) will be seen playing Hanuman and Bigg Boss fame actor Aarya Babbar will don the role of the powerful Ravana. Deblina Chatterjee (Sajda, Balika Vadhu) will play the triple role of Sita, Rukmini and Lakshmi.

Now Tellychakkar.com has got the final list of the other pivotal characters in the show.

Firstly, coming to the character of Hanuman, child actor Ishant Bhanushali has been signed to play the role of young Hanuman. The actor had earlier played Jigar-Rashi’s son in Saathiya. Ishant has already started shooting for the show. His mother confirmed the news.

Hanuman’s parents Anjani and Kesari will be played by good looking actors Barkha Bisht and Gagan Kang respectively. Barkha was last seen in Sony Pal’s Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne. This would be the actor’s first stint in mytho. She will play an apsara blessed with Shiva’s incarnation as her son. Gagan Kang who has done films like Aalha Udal, Who’s There? and TV show Jodha Akbar, will portray the powerful ruler of the monkey clan.

And now coming to Ram, whose devotee Hanuman was, will be played by the charming actor Gagan Malik. As viewers would know Gagan also played Ram in Zee TV’s Ramayan. Interestingly, apart from repeating Ram’s character, Gagan will also be seen in the avatar of Krishna and Vishnu in this show.
