Young TV actress Arpita Mondal, who is essaying the lead character of Sarada Devi in Aakash Aath’s new serial Jagat Janani Maa Sarada, is both excited and nervous about her role.
“I am grateful to the team for providing me the opportunity of playing the character of Maa Sarada. I feel blessed. I am both happy and anxious about my role as Maa Sarada is an icon. If I commit any mistake I hope my audience would forgive me,” she said to
Talking about the homework she is doing to get into the skin of the legendary figure, she shared, “I am reading a few books by Sanjib Chattopadhya to understand the thought process of Maa. I am also meditating in a solitary room regularly.”
She continued, “Maa Sarada never differentiated between cast, creed and religion. To her, all were equal. By reading books, I am trying to know how she showered her love equally on everyone. And also about her dedication towards her husband, Sri Ramakrishna. By enacting this role I am getting to learn a lot and I hope to learn more in future as well.”
The pretty girl also expressed that she is experiencing positive changes in her personality.
“Since the day I started shooting for this serial I am experiencing serenity and calmness in my personality. Earlier I would easily get distracted but now I am more disciplined and controlled,” she signed off.
